Assistant Production Manager  

NEW STORE Banjo’s Bakery Café Park Ridge  

We are currently seeking an experienced/qualified baker to join our New Banjo’s Bakery team in Park Ridge Store as an Assistant Production Manager.  

As an Assistant Production Manager, you will lead a baking team in a fun, busy and supportive environment. Trade qualifications in Cakes, Pastry and Bread essential and some management experience preferred, but not necessary. Must be available 7 days a week.  

Reporting directly to the Store Manager, your key roles and responsibilities will include:  

  • Ensuring baking team achieves Banjo’s high standards of product quality  
  • Delegation of tasks as and where required to ensure all other operational standards are met  
  • Meeting all company KPIs including:  
  • Wastage  
  • Labour  
  • Ingredient cost, etc  
  • Ensuring workplace remains a safe, nurturing and fun place to work  
  • Passing knowledge to staff by way of training, discussion and leading by example  
  • Rostering bakers effectively  

Other key requirements include, but are not limited to:  

  • Effectively managing a great team of bakers who want to succeed  
  • Encourage “out of the box thinking”  
  • Excellent communication skills with a positive attitude to problem solving  
  • Career orientated and driven to succeed
